On Tuesday, Lee Health Systems reported it was down to 80 COVID-19 patients in its hospitals. A few weeks back that number was over 350.
Since last Friday, there were 25 new admissions and 29 discharges. 2,569 COVID-19 patients have been discharged since the beginning of the pandemic.
Lee County has been pushing mask and social distancing education for weeks. There is no mask mandate in Lee County.
On Monday the positivity rate was 10.3% on COVID-19 tests processed through Lee Health Labs. 69% of ventilators and 20% of the ICU rooms at Lee Health are available for use. There are now 9 COVID-19 patients on ventilators and 15 in the ICU.
Lee Health is at 76% of staffed operational bed capacity, with 7.5% of those being COVID-19 patients.
