The recent fundraiser held for Save Our Strays feline rescue at the Nauti Parrot was well attended with nearly 100 people showing up to participate in the festivities which included a silent auction, 50-50 raffle and a quarter auction.
The fundraiser assists in the rescuing, vetting, and adoption of abandoned cats and kittens on Fort Myers Beach and San Carlos Island. The money will also go towards the enormous amount of kitty litter and food needed to care for the cats as well as unexpected equipment costs to maintain a rescue.
If you missed out on this fun event for a good cause they will hold a similar event April 22 also at the Nauti Parrot. If you can’t attend that event but would like to help out they are in need of volunteers to feed strays on the beach and on San Carlos Island or help at the rescue playing with the cats, cleaning cat trees, or organizing. And they always welcome donations of food and litter.
