The Local Planning Agency, chaired by former Mayor Anita Cereceda, will play a vital role in how residents can rebuild their homes over the next few years following the massive island-wide destruction caused by Hurricane Ian on September 28th
Since the hurricane all town meetings have been held in make-shift tents with trucks and machinery blaring outside those tents which can make the meetings hard to hear. The Wednesday 9AM LPA meeting will be held at Diamondhead resort to avoid the noise distractions.
Beach Talk Radio will carry that meeting live if the town is able to stream the meeting on its YouTube page. Internet has been spotty at the town’s temporary town hall tent, often cutting out during the town council meeting.
The LPA will be taking a close look at setbacks at its Wednesday meeting.
