Work to restore the beach shoreline at Lynn Hall Park begins this Saturday. The beach will be closed from the pier to the north end of Lynn Hall Park. The south side of the parking lot will remain open. The restrooms and shower facilities will also stay open. The work is expected to be completed by Thursday, Dec. 24.
The north side of the parking lot will be closed to be used as a construction staging area.
The $200,000 project is funded by Tourist Development Tax dollars, which are collected on short-term lodging.
The dune renourishment is needed due to damage done from Hurricane Eta.
