Beach Talk Radio will host one final candidate forum for the Fort Myers Beach Town Council race this Friday at 5:30PM at Fresh Catch restaurant behind Publix. There are 4 candidates running for 3 open seats on the Town Council.
The candidates are:

Vice Mayor Jim Atterholt
Councilman Scott Saaford
Greg Scasny
Election day is Tuesday, November 5th. Council seats are for four years.

If the mayor and council have a shred of integrity they would postpone the vote on the Seagate/Red Coconut proposal. These lame ducks should not have a say in FMB future. Jim and Scott need voted out but I’m sure they got their bag already….
Why did we incorporate, why do we have ordinances and rules?
Why do we have a stupid LPA if the council does what the heck it wants even knowing the majority of residents don’t want it and everyone knows the islands infrastructure can’t handle it..
