We’re putting together “The Mother of All Raffles” to help raise money to save the Fort Myers Beach VFW. They are in need of $50,000 to cover mounting expenses from recent hurricanes and we plan to help them pay those bills.
An anonymous Fort Myers Beach resident will match the amount of money we raise, up to $25,000, giving us a huge head start and motivation to raise the entire $50,000. We started accepting Venmo donations Monday that will be used to help us get closer to the match number. You can Venmo your donation to Edward-Ryan-14 and we will keep a running total of the amount we’ve raised posted to our Facebook page every morning through October 19th. You can also send a check to our home made out to VFW Post 10097 if you’d like to donate that way. We will present all the checks to members of the VFW on October 19th. Our address is 12700 Vista Pine Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33913
If you own a business and would like to donate to our “Mother of All Raffles” please contact me by phone 239-247-3833 or e-mail: edryan@beachtalkradio.com. The raffle tickets will cost $50 with 100% of the money turned over to the VFW. Those raffle tickets will be available online over the next few days and at all of our upcoming live shows.
The winner of the raffle will be pulled Sunday, October 19th during our show with the Mayor which will be held at the VFW. Everyone is invited to come out to that show, meet our fabulous veterans, donate on that day and enjoy a great meal which will be provided by TJ and Lisa at The Rude Shrimp Company.

What do you win if you win the raffle?
How many members the Fort Myers Beach VFW have?
That’s the word. Should be open like most other clubs that don’t have a problem
If the VFW opens to the public I will go and support them. They usually are very strict on who can walk in the door.
Older Military veterans are shrinking in numbers and I don’t believe the younger veterans are interested as much.
What time on the 19th
Doors open at 10 am food starts at noon
