Keep Lee County Beautiful recently hosted its 34th Annual “GO GREEN” Golf Fundraiser at The Plantation Golf & Country Club. The event brought together community members, businesses, and environmental advocates for a day of golf in support of KLCB’s mission to protect Lee County’s environment and enhance the community’s quality of life.
This year’s tournament was a tremendous success, raising a net profit of over $22,000. Funds will directly support environmental programs and initiatives focused on litter prevention, beautification, and sustainability throughout Lee County.
Keep Lee County Beautiful is the county’s largest environmental education organization, coordinating cleanups, beautification projects, and educational programming that inspire residents to care for their natural surroundings. In 2024, volunteers removed more than 58,000 pounds of litter and debris, planted 170 trees and 808 shrubs, and educated thousands about conservation. As KLCB celebrates its 36th year of service, the organization has already achieved remarkable impact in 2025 by collecting over 24,000 pounds of trash, planting 300 trees/1,225 mangroves, and educating more than 8,300 individuals on the importance of environmental stewardship.
