The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce is looking for parking lots for the 2025 Sand Sculpting Championships, The event will be held at DiamondHead Resort November 20th through 24th.
The lots are needed for parking for the event and they need to be 100 percent empty. If you’d like to help out by loaning your lot to the Chamber contact Dayla at Events@fmbchamber.com
This is not an attempt to add parking spaces to the beach. The 4 day event is looking for unused empty lots near the event which will be run by non-profits on the beach who collect the parking fees to give back to people on the beach.

You same people complain about traffic. Guess what genius. If there’s no where to park on the beach people will have no choice but to park off island and take public transportation or ride a bike. But I guess that would leave you with nothing to complain about
Move it back where it was down on the south end and use the Wyndham lot for parking!
Maybe the Town should do a better job advertising the use of Lee Trolly Beach Park and Ride and other public transportation options instead of bringing more cars and traffic to the island?
