The Beach Kids Foundation raised the money during their first Pickleball Tournament last Saturday at Bay Oaks. Here’s a list of the tournament winners…
In the beginners bracket:
Champions: Matt and Gabriella Crown
Runners up: Town Manager Will Mckannay (pictured right) and Jason Freeman
In the intermediate players bracket:
Champions: Jhwan Dolorfino and Mark Braganza
Runners up: Scott Pearson and Susie Nelon
In the advanced players bracket:
Champions: Dale Eyestad and Connor Hanson
Runners-up: Brock Buchanan and Peter Albert
Megan Haataja from the Beach Kid Foundation said, “Our local community crushed it!. Thanks for supporting Beach Kids Foundation at the pickleball tournament.” Beach Kids Foundation member Melissa Schneider added the 2026 tournament is already being planned. “I’d like to give a big shout-out and thank-you to our Beach Kids Pickleball Tournament committee: Judy Haataja, Deborah Groll and Bridgette Myers, led by our lead tournament coordinator Megan Haataja, who made this entire charity tournament possible.”
