The Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup is Saturday, March 29th from 8AM to 10AM at multiple locations across Lee County. There are three Fort Myers Beach locations; The Beach Elementary School, Bowditch Beach and, Lynn Hall Park.
Keep Lee County Beautiful is the Southwest Florida host of the event. Volunteers will be cleaning waterways, shorelines, roadways, and parks in the largest one-day event to help protect the environment.
Tens of thousands of pounds of litter and debris are removed from the environment every year during the annual event. The Great American Cleanup is open to volunteers of all ages and any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business or government entity can coordinate or participate.
