The town of Fort Myers Beach has increased its annual parking fee for residents from $25 to $50. The 100% increase comes with added value. Residents can now park in any town owned parking space on the island.

That includes the Waistin Away parking lot in Estero Boulevard across from The Whale which is a $5.00 per hour lot for visitors. It also includes all beach accesses and Old San Carlos Boulevard which are all town onwed spots.

Prior to the rate hike, residents could only park under the Matanzas Pass Bridge during season.

To get your annual parking pass you must bring your roof of residency to Town Hall and pay the $50.00 fee.
