St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church has announced a vibrant season of events, highlighted by a long-awaited homecoming celebration and the return of its famous All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp Dinners.
Homecoming Service – Sunday, October 26 at 10 AM
When Hurricane Ian struck three years ago, St. Raphael’s church, parish hall, and rectory were inundated by seven feet of water. For the past three years, the congregation has faithfully worshipped in different venues while repairs and rebuilding took place. Now, the church is ready to return to its sanctuary.
Although the space will be modest—without much furniture or decoration—the St. Raphael’s family invites former parishioners, neighbors, and the entire community to join in celebrating this milestone on Sunday, October 26 at 10 AM. The service will honor St. Raphael’s Day and will be followed by a special coffee hour to mark this joyful occasion.
All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp Dinner – Friday, November 8
Just weeks after the homecoming, St. Raphael’s will host its first All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp Dinner since Hurricane Ian. This beloved tradition will feature fresh pink Gulf shrimp, homemade baked beans, crisp cole slaw, warm cornbread, dessert, and refreshing drinks.
Adding to the excitement, guests will be treated to live entertainment by The Goldtones, who will keep the crowd dancing well into the evening.
“After the challenges of the past three years, these events represent more than a return to our building—they’re a celebration of resilience, faith, and community,” said long time parishioner Ellie Bunting.
The shrimp dinner will be held at St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church, 5601 Williams Drive, Fort Myers Beach. Seating is limited, and reservations are required. Tickets for the shrimp dinner are $55 per person and include both dinner and entertainment. GET TICKETS HERE.
