More than three years after Hurricane Ian, this Sunday St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church members will attend service in their newly rebuilt church when it reopens at 5601 Williams Drive. Father Michael will be our guest Saturday to share the good news.
When Hurricane Ian slammed into Fort Myers Beach on September 28, 2022, the interior of the church was destroyed. Since then, the congregation has journeyed through loss, rebuilding, and hope — and now, they’re returning to worship in their restored sanctuary. This day is more than a service; it’s a celebration of faith, perseverance, and community spirit.
The Sunday service is at 10AM. Everyone is welcome. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
