The Book Nook may be the first business to reopen in Santini Plaza since Hurricane Ian did significant damage to the entire building. Some businesses in Santini will never return while others are working on their units hoping to be back. Book Nook owner Annette Stillson needs volunteers next week.
Every day next week between the hours of 10AM and 4PM Anette will be at her store moving in books. If you would like to help her move this process along please head down to Santini any day you are available to help.
Annette opened The Book Nook in Santini Plaza in 2009. All of her books were lost in Hurricane Ian and many of you donated boxes of books shortly after the storm.
I hope she doesn’t struggle with nothing else open, no foot traffic and being way in the back. Fingers crossed other business are soon to follow.
I believe she has enough of a following that she will do just fine. I, for one, can’t wait to visit and make a purchase!
