By now you’ve probably heard that we’re raising money to help the Fort Myers Beach VFW from closing its doors. They are in need of $50,000 to pay storm-related bills and a very generous Fort Myers Beach resident is willing to match anything we raise up to $25,000.
Over the last week, we’ve been reaching out to local businesses for prizes to throw into a winner-take-all Mother-of-all-raffles. And wow, did you guys really come through. The entire list is below (a few more may be added).
Here’s how you can enter to win all of these prizes and help us help the VFW stay open. Raffle tickets are $50 each. 100% of the raffle ticket money will be donated to the VFW and go toward the matching $25,000. A winner will be chosen on Sunday, October 19th during our show with the Mayor which will be held at the VFW at 10AM. We’ll be interviewing veterans throughout the show and Rude Shrimp will have food for purchase with the proceeds going to the VFW and toward our match.
There are 3 easy ways to register:
- Purchase a ticket during our live shows on October 11, 12, 18 or 19.
- Venmo $50 to Edward-Ryan-14 with “VFW Raffle” in the subject line.
- Mail a check for $50 to Ed Ryan – 12700 Vista Pine Circle – Fort Myers, FL 33913
If you sent in a donation for $50 or more you will automatically be entered into the drawing so you do not need to do anything. If you donated $100, you will get two tickets, $200 4 tickets, etc.
You do not need to be present to win, however, it would be great if you could come to the show to support all the local veterans.
We will take donations for the raffle until 11AM on Sunday, October 19th, 1 hour before we do the drawing (12PM Eastern)
