Temporary Placement Permits that were issued by the town after Hurricane Ian to help get residents back in their homes and business owners back on their feet expire today.
If a property owner who was granted a Temporary Placement Permit can prove to Town Manager Will McKannay they are experiencing a hardship he may extend that permit. A special application must be filled out before the end of the day today in order for a property owner or business to be considered.

No new permits are being issued.
After the deadline, properties with expired permits and no application submitted will be issued a Notice of Violation and referred to a hearing. In addition, the Town is entitled to recover the fees of the Special Magistrate as well as other costs incurred as part of the enforcement process. Property owners may also face daily fines and additional penalties if no action is taken.
