At the Marine Environmental Resource Task Force meeting in March, the monthly MERTF Environmental Award recognized Tuna Skin’s Ben Duval, his employees, and volunteers for their February clean up on Fort Myers Beach.
Tunaskin sponsored their 10th Annual Beach Keepers Clean Up on February 16 for the entire island. With over 400 volunteers, they removed over three tons of garbage littered across Fort Myers Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods. Event Director Ben Duval and his entire Tunaskin team arranged for sponsors from local restaurants and businesses, donated commemorative shirts for the volunteers, and raised enough money to donate $5000 to Keep Lee County Beautiful.
