There’s a lot of final work being done at St. Peter’s Church on Estero Boulevard. After Ian, a portion of the building was demolished while another section was saved. Church services have been held in a tent in the church parking lot.
Here’s what the contractor and congregation has completed. The cabinets in the sacristy were installed, the entire building was cleaned, the pews are in, the bibles are ready, the bathrooms function, and the porch is getting the last few things needed. The sign company has the permit to install the new sign, the parking lot will soon be resurfaced and the new mailbox is in, the piano is being tuned, the fire alarm system is being repaired, the Audio/Visual equipment will be back online shortly and furniture will be ordered and installed in the very near future.
So when will the building open for services? St. Peter’s Office Administrator Trudy Archer tells Beach Talk Radio, “soon.” They are waiting on a few finishing items then the Certificate of Occupancy.
You have made beautiful architectural upgrades in your architecture. It is a beauty!
Excellent. Another sign that there is a community of FMB not just a tourist destination. Any news on the Catholic Church. That is a huge piece of property that still says “the wrath of god hit me”
In their plans to reopen the Catholic Church, I wish they would consider straightening Estero Blvd in front of the church.
