You have until just about 9PM Sunday night to get over the bridge to see the fireworks. However, if you wait that long, chances are you’ll never make it. The crowd is expected to be big with the 4th being the first major gathering since COVID closed the world down.

The town of Fort Myers Beach website has posted a lot of good detail about where you can park and how you can beat the last-minute crowds on Sunday.

Don’t forget the Mantazas Pass Bridge will be closed from 9PM to 11:30PM. If you want to get home quickly after the 20-minute fireworks show you’ll need to consider parking options before the bridge. There’s a free lot just before the bridge (to the right).

There’s also the Lee Tran Park and Ride lot on Pine Ridge Road where you can ride the Lee Tran Trolley. It will run from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. There are no Lee Tran buses running July 4th.

Lynn Hall Park is owned by Lee County. Parking is $2.00 per hour.

The Town’s Short Term Parking
Short term parking, or metered parking, is located on Old San Carlos Boulevard, Estero Boulevard, Center Street, and Fifth Street. The metered spaces have a two-hour time limit and cost $3 per hour.

Long Term Parking
Long Term parking is available on all beach access streets and in the lot under the Matanzas Pass Bridge. The cost is $3 per hour, and there is no time limit.

You can pay for one of the town’s 300 parking spaces by phone by using the PassPort Parking app which is available from the Apple app store and Google Play.
Drivers can also use the app to:
Monitor their parking sessions

Pay Stations
The Town of Fort Myers Beach has recently implemented 10 new pay stations at the following locations: Newton Park, Connecticut Street Beach Access, Palm Avenue Beach Access, Old San Carlos and under Matanzas Pass Bridge. These new pay-by-space pay stations allow visitors to park, take note of what parking space they are in, pay at the pay station and go directly to the beach without returning to display their ticket in their car.
