As residents on the south end of Fort Myers Beach anxiously await businesses to open in Santini Plaza they can bank on one thing for sure…the return of the Farmers Market starting in November.

This week, the Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved a permit for the Farmers Market to return to Santini Plaza on November 5th and run through April 4, 2025. The Farmers Market last operated in Santini Plaza in May of 2022.

Linda Miller, who operates the Fort Myers Beach Farmers Market, tells Beach Talk Radio News, “We are excited to revive the Santini Farmers Market beginning November 2024. The South End has been vocal about returning shopping, unique foods and produce to Santini Plaza and our vendors are excited to be a part of the return to normalcy after Hurricane Ian.”

The Town Council also approved a permit for the market to return to Times Square from September 9, 2024 to May 31, 2025.

  1. Very excited to see the Farmers Market back! It may not be a huge event toward recovery….but it’s a shining moment to look forward to.

  2. I understood that the parking lot was not deemed safe regarding having food trucks. Is this a double standard? I’m happy for the Farmers Market but the south end needs more help!
