US News & World Report says Sanibel is the #3 beach destination in the United States. The Outer Banks came in at #1, followed by Destin at #2. Maui followed Sanibel at #4 and Amelia Island rounded out the top 5.
The publication made their choices based on safe waters, kid-friendly attractions, dining options, spacious accommodations and multigenerational appeal
