On Saturday night at the Fort Myers Brewing Company in Gateway a limited-edition Moo Crew Brew was sold to support employees of The Island Cow on Sanibel who are out of work following the fire that destroyed the restaurant.
Fort Myers Brewing Company owner Jen Whyte tells Beach Talk Radio $5,000 was raised from the proceeds from the special beer sales. 6-packs of the special beer were sold for $12.00.
As the owners of the Island Cow work to rebuild the restaurant from the August 6th kitchen fire, their 50 employees are currently out of work.
The Island Cow is still about another year from being rebuilt and opening back up.
