After first announcing back in December that the 2024 Fort Myers Beach Shrimp Festival would not take place, the Lions Club now says after a groundswell of support the 2024 Shrimp Festival is back on for March 9th and 10th.
Lions Club member Drew Yelle tells Beach Talk Radio News that some “behind the scenes brainstorming and good conversations led to a groundswell of support and interest, so it’s a go.”
Last year, following Hurricane Ian, the event was reduced to a Shrimp Pub Crawl. In 2024 the many of the traditional favorites for the event will be back, including the Parade down Estero Boulevard, a vendor expo, the shrimp run 5K and kids run and the Shrimp Crawl with local restaurants.
Representatives from the Lions Club will be on Beach Talk Radio LIVE this Saturday at Margaritaville.
