23-year old Nikolas Zeferino was the cause of all the commotion in the Laguna Shores neighborhood last week. Multiple Lee County units raced to the south end of Fort Myers Beach at about 3:45PM last Thursday. Here’s what happened.
LCSO reports that they received a disturbance call at a home in Laguna Shores. When deputies arrived Rebecca Feitosa told them she was a contractor hired by the homeowner who is out of the country. Zeferino was apparently also helping out with renovations. After returning from the store with supplies Feitosa said she witnessed Zeferino smoking marijuana, swimming in the pool and going through the homeowners personal belongings. That’s when she called the authorities.
When deputies were verifying the details about Feitosa with the homeowner they heard a commotion in the bathroom of the house. They found Zeferino in an “agitated and aggressive state.” He was covered in sweat and upon seeing law enforcement took a fighting stance, according to the LCSO report. When deputies told Zeferino he had to go he said, “I’m not f*#@*&g leaving, this is my f*#@*&g house.”
Deputies then gave Zeferino several loud verbal commands to place his hands behind his back which he refused to do. The 23-year old from Coconut Creek, Florida continued to refuse to comply with instructions to stop resisting arrest. The man would end up getting tased several times. After getting shocked, Zeferino eventually came into compliance and was arrested without further incident.
Zeferino was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest without violence. His bond was set at $2,000 and he’ll appear before a judge on September 3rd.
