When the Beach Kiwanis Club realized the Beach School needed new books for their library, they donated $1500.00 to help defray the cost. Kiwanis President Sandy Lepley and Community and Youth Services Chair Jessica Hernstadt presented the check to Beach School Principal Karen Manzi last week.
Kiwanis takes an active part in helping young people in many ways. This year Kiwanis started a BUGS program at the school. The program rewards students for both good behavior and bringing up their grades.
Every year Kiwanis presents scholarships to local students attending college. Applications for the 2021-2022 school year can be found at fortmyersbeachkiwanis.org.
