School District Wants Mediation Meeting Moved

Fort Myers Beach Town Attorney Nancy Stuparich reported to the Town Council Monday that the School District would cover the entire cost of a mediator in their battle over the Beach School, but only if the meeting was moved off the beach.

On Monday the Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved a $95,710 add-on to Earth Balance’s dune plantings contract. The additional plantings will be paid for by a state grant and bring the total number of plants on the beach to 160,000.
