Fire District Merger Advances to Legislature
On Tuesday the Southwest Florida State Delegation voted to move the merger of the Fort Myers Beach and Iona Fire Departments to the next step. The bill will now go before several committees in Tallahassee.

Judge Will Not Stop The Recall
The recall of Fort Myers Beach Town Council members Karen Woodson and John King will go forward as scheduled Tuesday. Judge Kyle Cohen ruled on Thursday that he has no plan to stop the election or seal any election results.
King Has No Plans To Give Up his Seat
Council member John King believes Judge Kyle Cohen’s ruling that the “fatal” error in the petition to recall him allows him to stay in his seat and that’s what he plans to do.
Church Celebration Planned
St. Peter Evangelical Church at 3751 Estero Boulevard is holding a building rededication ceremony on Sunday, November 23rd at 9AM. The church was heavily damaged by Hurricane Ian over 3 years ago and recently reopened for services.
