  1. Property Tax is unconstitutional and forces many folks out of there hard earned personal property. Matt Caldwell is a TOOL , property values on the Beach are in the toilet and this clown has the nerve to raise the valuations and hence the property taxes on the homeowners – what a clown .

  2. Raise the sales tax by 1% and get rid of the property tax on homesteads. The beach could ask for a special tax from the state for the island. It could easily offset the lack of property tax on homesteads. Business and non homesteads would still garner revenue. Details would be needed on the extent of “no property tax” as to what property applies of course.

      • You are incorrect sir. The 1% would give more revenue than the homesteader properties based on Florida’s current revenue generated from sales tax. Please do the research.
