4 seats are turning over on the LPA and one member who said he wasn’t planning to serve another 2-year term changed his mind. The seats expire at the end of this month.
Jim Dunlap, Ed Schoonover and Don Sudduth all reapplied for their seats as planned. Doug Eckmann also reapplied after telling LPA members on September 8th he was not planning to return. There were no other applications so the Town Council will reappoint these 4 members at their next meeting.
It’s important to note that LPA Chair Anita Cereceda and Ed Schoonover are running for Town Council which may open up one or two seats. Cereceda’s seat is not up until 2027. However, if she wins her run for Town Council she’ll need to step down from the LPA and her seat will open up. If Cereceda and or Schoonover are elected to Town Council, a new window for applications will open and the Town Council will appoint someone to those seats.
The LPA meets again on October 13th at 9AM.
LPA members serve 2-year terms.
The LPA hears all the development projects first and make non-binding recommendations to the Town Council.
