A 47-year old man from Chicago was arrested Sunday night following a drunk-driving crash he was involved in just before midnight. The accident occurred at the corner of Estero Blvd & Eucalyptus Court.
Florida Highway Patrol reports the alleged drunk driver, was in a 2008 Ford pick-up. The man fled the scene but was later arrested for Driving Under the Influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
Lee County Sheriff Department records show that 47-year old Chicago Heights resident Diego Toro Otalvaro (pictured right) was arrested Sunday night charged with DUI. He is scheduled to appear in County Court on July 6th at 8M.
The Fort Myers Beach Fire Department was called to the scene where a 24-year old man involved in the accident, who was driving a 2001 Honda Sedan, refused to be transported to the hospital
