It’s been a very long journey for the owners at Kahlua Beach Club at 4950 Estero Boulevard. The timeshare resort, built in mid-sixties, has been closed since Ian. They reopen on Tuesday with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting at 11AM and we will be there to cover it live.
We can’t wait! Will be there in a few weeks!!

CONGRATULATIONS! Let’s subtract these units from the 400 units we were down in one of BTR’s previous articles. Getting closer to zero! The dire straits we are supposedly in don’t really sound that bad!
It’s definitely progress, but we still need more hotel rooms, especially on the south end.
Why do we need more hotel rooms on the South end. I have a condo available for rent almost 2 years since Ian and have only gotten one rental in March last year.
Losing the Cottage,Silver Sands,Royal Beach Club, Polynesian Villas and the Beacon has created a void. Sometimes using social media and price flexibility helps through lean times.
