Art Association Announces Winners


The Fort Myers Beach Art Association has announced the winners from its recently held show called Endless Beginnings. Kim Belange received the Best in Show-Lee Ackert Memorial Award for this photo called Home on the Beach. 

Susanne Brown won firstplace for this work she titled Soft Glowing Roses. 
Second Place went to Dana Enders for her work titled Red Sails.

Third Place went to Michele Barron Buelow for her work titled Cloud. 

The Maya Bryant-Plein Air Award went to Dorothy McDowell for The Red Bridge.

Tamara Culp received a merit award for her work titled Dappled. 

Pam Flaherty received a merit award for her work titled Race. 

JoAnn LaPadula received a merit award for One of the Boys. 

Honorable Mentions went to Floyd Lawrence for Waiting, Kathleen C Taylor for Babe, and Julie Nusbaum for Abandoned.

FMBAA continues to offer art education through classes and Famous Artist Workshops.

The next Famous Artist Workshop will be offered for watercolorists by Joye Moon from January 17-19th.

The next series of watercolor classes offered by Cheryl Fausel begin December 20th.




  1. Beautiful paintings! I am embarrassed I have never gone. We attend and purchase at the Bonita and Naples art fairs and need to check out this local “gallery”. Keep us informed, BTR so we go to the next gallery competition!
