The Fort Myers Beach Art Association open house was held last week and featured demos by local artists, refreshments and, of course, artwork. FMBAA formed back in 1951. Demos from Saturday included Watercolor, Collage, Water Media on Yupo Paper, Portrait, Pastels, Oil, and Acrylic/ Mixed Media.

Fort Myers Beach Art Association Publicity Director Pam Flaherty told Beach Talk Radio News visitors arrived early and explored the gallery throughout the day, taking in the demonstrations of various art media. “They also helped celebrate the 71st birthday with cake and refreshments. Many works of art sold, including the original art mini-masters that sell for $10 each.”The Spring Juried Show “Unclear Boundaries” continues until March 10.  Judged and juried by nationally known artist Theresa Girard and sponsored by Gavin’s Ace Hardware, the show offers over eighty works.  A sampling of images from the show are available for viewing online HERE.

Mark your calendar for the opening of Anything Goes, a member show, on March 12 in the main gallery and a solo show for Bea Pappas in Studio 2.
