Christopher Bornfleth was introduced to the Bay Oaks Recreational Campus Advisory Board this week. The town has hired Bornfleth as the Bay Oaks Campus Recreation Manager.
Bornfleth has a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with a concentration in sports management from North Carolina State University.
Bornfleth told the board he was looking forward to doing awesome things with the town. When asked about new programs he might be interested in bringing to Fort Myers Beach, Bornfleth mentioned a Beach 5K run series as one of them.
Another item Bornfleth shared with the committee was the upcoming Bay Oaks Flag Football program which runs from January 18th to February 24th. You can get more information on that HERE.
Bornfleth comes to Fort Myers Beach from the City of New Port Richey, Florida where he was the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director.
Bornfleth reports to Parks and Recreation Director Alison Giesen.
