Do you want to deepen your appreciation for the natural world while learning about the habitats, flora, and fauna on our barrier islands and in our coastal communities. Then consider joining SCCF’s 6-week Florida Master Naturalist Coastal Systems course this fall. Sessions will occur weekly on Thursdays from Oct. 29 to Dec. 10.
SCCF Adult Education Director Jenny Evans and Associate Instructor Jim Winn will lead the course, taking participants on visits to unique ecosystems on Sanibel and in Lee County during the course’s field trips. SCCF scientists, educators, and policy advocates will also share their work with the class.
A mix of hands-on activities, classroom presentations, and videos round out the course’s content. Space is limited to 20 participants to optimize the student experience, so register soon!
