Natalie Springer is the Operations Supervisor for Mote Marine Laboratory’s Beach Conditions Reporting System. He’s looking for a new Beach Ambassador for Fort Myers Beach.
Spinger is looking for a resident who lives near or regularly visits Gulfview Beach Access #18 (Newton Park), to help submit beach conditions reports. “Someone who already takes a morning beach walk or enjoys checking out the shoreline could be a wonderful fit.”
BCRS is a volunteer-based program that shares local beach conditions through our website, mobile app, and email alerts. Trained Beach Ambassadors report firsthand observations such as wave conditions, water clarity, drift algae, dead fish, and respiratory irritation. Their reports help residents and visitors stay informed when planning a beach day.

Training is completed online, and our team helps volunteers get started. We would love to recruit a primary reporter and a backup for this location. We are also seeking volunteers for Lynn Hall Beach Park and Bowditch Point Park if any listeners frequent those beaches.
