Town Council Approves Whale Variances
On Monday, the Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved three variances that will allow owners Mike and Dawn Miller to begin the rebuild of their restaurant. Last month the LPA also approved the variances.

The Beach Medical Center, run by Beth Ulman, and formerly located at 6051 Estero Boulevard on Fort Myers Beach, has a new temporary location in Bonita. They are now open and available to provide beach residents with health care.

Lynn Hall Park Bathrooms Finally Coming Down
The Lynn Hall Park bathroom facilities on Fort Myers Beach will be demo'd this week. The restroom building was totally destroyed by Hurricane Ian exactly 14 months ago. Lee County plans to rebuild the restroom facilities, which could take two to three years to complete.
Still No Confirmed Opening Date for Library
The Fort Myers Beach Library has been closed since Hurricane Ian inflicted severe damage to the structure. According to Operations Manager Elizabeth Rhodes they are still waiting for an ADA compliant elevator, among other things.
