St. Raphael's Church, in partnership with Providence Family Life Center, is hosting an event called Voices of The Storm - Stories of Survival Saturday from 9AM to Noon at Diamondhead.

It's called Mr. Waves Island Bar and it's the first new restaurant to open on Fort Myers Beach since Hurricane Ian turned everything upside down, another sign of progress on the island. Waves is located at the base of Matanzas Pass Bridge.

Kids running around playing ball, parents huddled on the bleachers chatting, and the town of Fort Myers Beach staff taking a much-deserved bow for their hard work. That was the scene on the Bay Oaks Little League field Wednesday night, a few months after the field was a Hurricane Ian debris pile.

The Fort Myers Beach Coffee Connection on Thursday, November 2nd will be at Beach Baptist Church at 130 Connecticut Street. Complimentary coffee and breakfast bites will be served.

Tri-Town Construction is hosting a grand opening of their new sales center at 1750 Estero Boulevard on November 8th from 11AM to 2PM. Food will be served for a donation. All the proceeds will be given to the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club.

Earlier this month the Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved a $194,000 contract with a company called Sole Source to install 70 mooring balls. That money is 90% FEMA reimbursable.

Due to Hurricane Idalia back in August, Coffee With a Cop had to be canceled. It's been rescheduled for today at 10AM. Anyone who shows up to support LCSO wearing a yellow army shirt gets a free cup of coffee. Mojoe’s is located at 1740 Estero Boulevard.
