It’s called Mr. Waves Island Bar and it’s the first new restaurant to open on Fort Myers Beach since Hurricane Ian turned everything upside down, another sign of progress on the island. Waves is located at the base of Matanzas Pass Bridge.

The new restaurant and bar opens to the public on Wednesday, November 8th at 11AM. Before the location was purchased by Daniel Clarkson it was a t-shirt shop.

Mr. Waves Island Bar will have both inside and outside seating. The outside seating will have a deck view of Margaritaville and the Matanzas Pass Bridge. TV’s will be everywhere and will include the NFL package on Sundays. There will be live entertainment every day

The menu will include salmon and shrimp, paninis, flatbreads, Cold Stone ice cream for desert and corn dogs and mac and cheese for the kids

Beach Talk Radio will be broadcasting live for a grand opening celebration of Waves on Friday, November 10th at 6PM. We’ll have t-shirt giveaway trivia and the Woman’s Club will be on hand for a fundraising event.

Mr. Waves Island Bar will be open 7 days a week starting at 11AM

I’n the 31 years I have been in fort Myers full time I have seen many restaurants come and go, so congratulations and can’t wait to bring my family from up north to come and for us to enjoy your food and hospitality. Hopping for Manny years of you being here. I have a Yorkie and he goes everywhere with me he’s a service dog will you permit him there?. That’s why so many people love Bonita bills, we can bring our well behaved fur baby.
