2-Year New Bridge Project Begins
Lee County held a groundbreaking ceremony for the $91 million Big Carlos Pass Bridge replacement bridge Thursday. Lee County Commissioner Ray Sandelli hosted the event and Vice Mayor Jim Atterholt represented Fort Myers Beach.

New Community Group Forms
The name of the organization, made up of Fort Myers Beach residents and business owner, is "Let's Go FMB." The goal of the group is to speak as one voice to move the rebuilding process along at a faster pace. Here is the groups mission statement...
Beach School Handprints Saved
Earlier this week demolition began on the buildings surrounding the historic building at The Beach Elementary school. The school district contractors were able to save the sidewalks with decades of handprints from 5th graders who graduated from the school.
Pub Passports Activate Tomorrow

Over 8,000 Pounds of Trash Removed From Water
Saturday, June 10th, Keep Lee County Beautiful held its first waterway cleanup since Hurricane Ian in collaboration with the Mound House and Moss Marina. The focus of the cleanup was the Fort Myers Beach Yacht Basin and the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve.

7-11 To Donate $25K Toward Little League Field Repairs
7-11, which has 5 locations on Fort Myers Beach, has notified Mayor Dan Allers that the company will be donating $25,000 to the town to help repair the little league field at Bay Oaks.
County Closing Beach Baptist Restrooms
Lee County announced on Monday that the restroom and shower trailers at the Beach Baptist Church on Fort Myers Beach will be closed and removed at 10 a.m. Monday, June 19.
