Kava Culture on San Carlos Boulevard is hosting the next Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours tomorrow at 5:30. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be part of the event which is free for Chamber members, $15 for non-members.

The next time Fort Myers Beach Public Safety Committee Chair Dawn Thomas makes her report to the full Town Council she’ll recommend the town rescind its ebike ordinance and allow e-bikes on sidewalks. This has been an issue the Town Council has been considering for over a year.

In a 4-3 vote, Jamie and Debbie Hotka and Dan Myers received approval for their proposed Food Truck Entertainment Venue on Estero Boulevard. The LPA meeting was long and included a lot of opposition from the nearby residential neighborhood.

The entire south end of Fort Myers Beach is waiting for more businesses in Santini Plaza to open, especially a restaurant that will keep them from driving to the north end or Bonita. The plaza suffered extensive damage in Hurricane Ian and has been creeping back to life.

The 2nd annual Southwest Florida Women of Irish Heritage cocktail Party is being held Saturday, February 23rd at 4PM at the Doubletree Hilton at Bell Tower in Fort Myers. There will be a special appearance by Kellyn Irish Dancers and Guns n Hoses Pipes and Drums. 

Lee County Commissioner David Mulicka joined Beach Talk Radio this past Sunday and provided the community with an update on several county projects that impact Fort Myers Beach, including the pier.

The 2nd annual Mrs. Roper's Caftan Crawl this past Saturday raised over $20,000, according to FMB Strong Disaster Relief Manager Heidi Jungwirth. Over 500 tickets were sold in advance which resulted in hundreds of men and women dressed up like Mrs Roper.
