Town Has Removed 13 Tons of Dead Fish

According to interim Town Manager Keith Wilkins, 13 tons of dead fish have been removed from Fort Myers Beach in one week. The fish are being killed off by a wave of Red Tide in the area and there's no indication when it will end.

Lee County announced Friday morning that several Lee County beach parks will open ahead of schedule, including Lynn Hall Park on Fort Myers Beach. There will be no charge for beach parking until further notice.

Town’s Mooring Field Set to Open

The Town is planning a phased reopening of Matanzas Pass Mooring Field starting with wet storage using the 19 new mooring systems that are west of Matanzas Pass Bridge. Those 19 mooring balls are available to rent now.
