Where Are The Forecloser Lawsuits?
Two months ago, on June 6th, Town of Fort Myers Beach attorney John Herin (pictured) told the town council foreclosure lawsuits the council approved in April would be filed that week. They weren’t. Last week, Herin told the council that two of the five lawsuits were about to be filed. They haven’t been.

New Expanded Hours at Bay Oaks

Florida Gas Prices Continue To Decline
Florida gas prices fell for the eighth consecutive week, declining 14 cents from a week ago. The state average is now $3.79 per gallon. That's the lowest daily average price since March 4th.Â
Lynn Hall Lot Expected to Re-Open Thursday
The Lynn Hall parking lot on Fort Myers Beach has been closed since Monday for pavement repairs and restriping. The lot is expected to reopen Thursday, August 18th. The beach, pavilions, restrooms and showers continue to be accessible for pedestrian access.
Alternating Light Stays
After hearing from the public earlier this year, the Florida Department of Transportation has notified the Fort Myers Beach town council that the alternating light at Prescott and Buttonwood that has been guiding traffic to the bridge leading to the beach will stay as is.
Manager Proposes Higher Fees All Around
Earlier this year Fort Myers Beach Town Manager Roger Hernstadt said the town is in "sound financial shape." This week he proposed a budget with huge fee hikes on everything from weddings to the town pool. And there's a millage rate increase being considered.
Your Library Taxes Could Go Up
