2021 Lions Club Event Held in Person
The Fort Myers Beach Lions Club held its annual donation event last week and for the first time since COVID-19 hit it was held in person. The 2021 event was held at Bonita Bill’s.
Consultant To Recommend Non-FWC Certified Lights
Town Lighting, the consultant Fort Myers Beach has hired to come up with a plan for lights in Estero Boulevard, will recommend the town install the eLuminaire (pictured here), dual source light, which is not on the FWC certified product list.

Grouper Grappler Dates Set
The 2021 Grouper Grappler Fishing tournament will take place August 19 through 21 at Fish Tale Marina. The tournament consists of two categories: Grouper and Snapper.
Committee Unanimous. “We Want More Officers.”
This week the Fort Myers Beach Public Safety Committee voted 6-0 in favor of the Town Council budgeting for at least two Lee County Sheriff Community Police Officers. Committee member Jim Knickle believes 4 should be hired.
State Insurance Donates to Kimmie’s
At a recent Chamber evet State Insurance USA donated $500 to Kimmie's Recovery Zone. Al Kinkle runs Kimmie's, which was named after his daughter who struggled with mental health and drug issues for 20 years. It ended up taking her life. Al will be on Beach Talk Radio Saturday at 9:30AM.
