The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation has launched a new campaign called #WeAreFMB Live, a series of concerts to raise money for the organization. The Foundation is partnering with Fish-Tale Marina for the shows.
Traffic Alert For Wednesday
Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday Crescent Street will be closed from Estero Boulevard to Fifth Street while crews pave the roadway. This portion of Crescent Street is expected to remain closed until 7 a.m. on Thursday. Local residential traffic will be accommodated.
Open Containers Allowed During Fireworks
The Fort Myers Beach Town Council will allow open containers outside the restaurants in Times Square during the New Years Eve Fireworks celebration. The time frame for open containers will be 12PM New Years Eve to 1AM on New Years Day.

Heim Charged With Battery
Self-appointed Fort Myers Beach water activist John Heim was arrested for Battery on November 25th by Lee County Sheriff's Deputies. The 51-year old, who's occupation is listed as ice cream salesman, is accused of returning to a residence on Emily Lane drunk, yelling at the victim for not cooking his dinner, and striking her.
