The price for our Yorkshire Terrier or our Chihuahua was under $1,000.00. Our Papillon was $1,100 and we gladly paid that, not knowing, at the time, what puppy mills were.

Lions Club Collecting Shrimp Figurines
The Fort Myers Beach Lions are looking for Shrimp figurines (or anything shrimp related) to make into ornaments for their Christmas tree. The tree will be auctioned off at the Woman's Club Christmas tree auction on December 11th and 12th.

Nuisance Abatement Board Members Needed
In September the town council approved the creation of a Nuisance Abatement Board to deal with repeat offenders of violent crimes on the beach. The board will be made up of seven members and, so far, the town only has six applications. If you'd like to be considered for the board, you can apply HERE

Saturday is Mullet Media Day
The event is being held from 11-3 at Jug Creek Marina in Bokeelia. November is the beginning of mullet run season and “Mullet Media Day” celebrates the fishing community who've worked the water for generations. Many of the captains will be at the event to share stories, eat some great fish and pay tribute to the fishing industry.
Sandelli, Ruane, Mann Inauguration is Tuesday
At 8:30 a.m. today an inauguration ceremony will be held for three members of the Lee Board of County Commissioners. Current members Ray Sandelli and Frank Mann were re-elected earlier this month and Kevin Ruane joins the board as its newest member.
