CROW Admits 3,000th Patient of the Year
The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife admitted its 3,000th patient of 2021 this week, three weeks earlier than reaching the same number of admissions in 2020. The patient, a fledgling common grackle, was rescued after being found in the back of a work truck.
Alleged Beach Shooter Caught
It took less than 3 days for the Lee County Sheriff's department to make an arrest in the Fort Myers Beach Memorial Day shooting. 18-year old Jatavion Craig was caught in Alabama Thursday morning and charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm in public.
Ding’ Darling Grows By 36 Acres

MRTF Tent Returns to Times Square
Tomorrow from 9a to noon The Marine Resources Task Force Committee's pop-up booth will be in Times Square. Volunteers share information on wildlife, plant life and water quality. The mission is to promote stewardship of the water and land of Estero Island. The booth will be set up at Bowditch on Sunday.
