Town Names NAB Members
The Town of Fort Myers Beach Nuisance Abatement Board was nearly derailed Monday when Mayor Ray Murphy did not solicit a candidate. The ordinance, approved 4 months ago, called for every member of the council to solicit one resident for the council to consider for the board.
Arch Location Gets OK From Town
On Monday the Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved a motion that shows support for two possible locations for a portion of the old arches to be reconstructed. The two locations being considered are both on Lee County property on Fort Myers Beach.
Court Upholds Mask Mandate as Legal

Last night about 35 citizens attended a public hearing regarding the Big Carlos Pass Bridge Lee County plans to replace. Built in 1965, replacing the bridge is a high priority due to its age and exposure to salt water. 8 people spoke during public comment, including Fort Myers Beach Mayor Ray Murphy.
Town Close to Mooring Field Expansion
On Monday the Town Council will consider a resolution taking the next steps to expand its mooring field by 19 balls. The Town of Fort Myers Beach currently operates a 70-slip mooring field east of Matanzas Pass Bridge.

The 6th annual Lovers Key Boat Show, Market & Seafood Fest begins today. The event is organized by the Bonita Springs Rotary and Friends of Lovers Key State Park to support Lovers Key State Park and Rotary Club projects. Hours are 9-5 Friday and Saturday and 9-4 Sunday.
