Deputies Catch Pancake Thief
25-year old Cape Coral man Johan Jabour decided he didn't want to pay his $34.00 bill at the Island Pancake House in the Sea Grape Plaza. After he tried to pull a fast one on employees, at the restaurant by telling them he left his wallet in the car, Lee County Deputies were called and the chase was on.
2020 Film Festival To Be Streamed

Our friends at Turtle Time have updated the latest Fort Myers Beach turtle stats: There are now 32 remaining nests to hatch compared to last weeks 46. There have not been any false crawls since the beginning of August.Â

Labor Day Trump Boat Parades Set For Area
Two Labor Day boat parades are being held in the area for those who support President Donald Trump. There are two starting points for a parade that starts in Pine Island, sponsored by Rezny Wealth Management. There's also one scheduled to start at 11AM at the midpoint Bridge being organized by Raven Ventura.

SWFL In Early Cone of Next Storm
Tropical Depression 13 has formed in the Atlantic and the early prediction for the storm has Southwest Florida in the path. The storm is forecast to strengthen and if it turns into a storm it will be called Laura. Forecasts have the storm arriving in Florida around Monday.
