Woman’s Club Event To Honor Mike Yost
The Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club was originally planning a Magic Ghost Show and Tour for October 10th with Mike Yost, creator of The Haunted Pub Crawl. Yost passed away suddenly last month and now The Woman’s Club is holding its Social at The Lighthouse on the 10th in his honor.

The Islander Reopens Friday in Santini Plaza
Anita Cereceda, who lost 2 stores in Times Square, The Pier Peddler and Local Color, and The Islander in Santini Plaza, will reopen The Islander at 9AM this Friday. It’s the first business to reopen in Santini Plaza after they were all wiped out by Hurricane Ian 2 years ago.
Helene Residential Debris Pickup Begins Friday
The Town of Fort Myers Beach has hired Tetra Tech and Crowder for Hurricane Helene Debris pickup. This Friday they’ll begin collecting four types of storm debris; Electronic Waste, Construction Debris, Vegetation and Appliances.

That’s the message from the Town of Fort Myers Beach. Hurricane Helene caused water damage to structures throughout the island and if you are in doubt if your repairs need to be permitted, you should call the town and ask.
