John King is one of the four candidates who have officially declared they are running for Fort Myers Beach Town Council in November.
King will be collecting signatures that will officially place him on the ballot. 50 signatures (1% of the voters) are needed to run.
A candidate can also choose not to get any signatures and pay a fee instead.
